Mohammad Hafeez To Serve As Pakistan Head Coach For Tour Of Australia And New Zealand

Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez, a former Pakistani all-rounder is all set to be appointed as a head coach for a tour of Australia and New Zealand. He has also been appointed as a team director- previously this position was held by Mickey Arthur- and has now been given to Hafeez after Babar Azam resigned from Pakistan captaincy.

It is expected that the PCB will merge the roles of Coach and director into a single one by giving the responsibility to Mohammed Hafeez for the upcoming series.

Mohammed Hafeez has been recently retired and now he has been included in the coaching staff. However, PCB was in no mood to appoint anyone to the role of team director until Najam Sethi appointed Mickey Arthur for this purpose.

Further, Babar Azam resigned from his captaincy post soon after realizing that he would be relieved of his duties in the two white-ball formats. However, this paved the way for Shan Masood and Shaheen Afridi who have been appointed as captains for different formats respectively.

Soon after that Mickey Arthur and Bradburn were also given clarification about their roles in the team management by PCB and Hafeez was given the opportunity of team director for the upcoming series.
